Wakefield RDA manages purpose built facilities

These include a 20 x 40m indoor  arena with viewing area and  classroom, toilet and kitchen and  a 20 x 40m outdoor riding arena with picnic area. Our stable yard  has 6 loose boxes and our horses are regularly turned out either in the fields at Pennine or in the Corrals (a woodchip area with  shelters) We also have rest facilities for staff and volunteers  and a porta-kabin office.

Access to a nearby scenic bridleway takes riders around Newmillerdam Country Park.

Wakefield RDA facilities are regularly used for RDA County and Regional Training Days for helpers and instructors. We also hold the Regional Riding for Disabled Dressage and Working Pony Competition here, which is well attended by other RDA groups in our region.

Our facilities are also used by Riding Clubs and riders from the local community.
