Pennine's Rural Craft Centre

Drawing of the Rural Craft Centre

Work began on our exciting new building, the Rural Craft Centre, at the end ofJune 2009.

The Rural Craft Centre will replace several temporary buildings and smaller workshops. It will be sited at the bottom end of the garden mirroring our hall Aulis.

As its name implies, it will provide a home for our craft workshops:

  • Tools for Self Reliance (moving our successful project to a permanent facility)
  • Pottery
  • Wood work (with direct links to the outdoor greenwood workshop)
  • Basket work
  • Weaving

It will also provide a base for our land-based NVQs.
