Introduction to Pennine Camphill Community
Pennine is a Camphill Community that supports a specialist college offering further education, training and support for young people with special needs. Details of how to apply for a student place can be found on our Student Applications page. Please phone our Admissions Secretary on 01924 255281 or e-mail to enquire about student vacancies. We are now processing student applications for admission in September 2010 and 2011.
We are situated in Chapelthorpe, on the outskirts of Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Our site, comprising 35-acres, has a rural aspect and is surrounded by trees, but we are close to the local community.
These are exciting times at Pennine — work started at the end of June on our Rural Craft Centre! The Camphill Family is helping us to raise funds for this massive project; you can follow progress here.
Pennine continues to maintain a 3-star CSCI standard enabling “people who use [our] service [to] experience excellent outcomes”.
Some of our Policy Documents, and also our most recent Ofsted and CSCI reports, can be accessed from our Documents page. Pennine is part of the Therapeutic Communities’ Network, and also supports other organisations.
